Disney for Easter! (day 2--Animal Kingdom)

On Sunday we went to Animal Kingdom! The first place we went was to see the Tree of Life. It had hundreds of animals carved into the wood! We walked down through there to get to A Bug's Life show. It was so cool. It was a 3D show with lots of special effects. Hazel got upset when she got sprayed with "bug spray"(water).
We also went on the Safari and saw lots of animals!

There are Hippos in the water here!

Crocodiles!
And a tall Giraffe!

Our guide called this an Upside down Tree, because it looks like the roots are on the top. He said all animals were given something to plant and the hyenas planted their tree upside down, and they are still laughing about it.
Here is "big red" the mama elephant.

We have many more animal pictures, rhinos, flamingos, lions....

Right as we were leaving the Safari, a parade started! We were right upfront this time! It was awesome! We go to meet different characters and there were people dancing on giant stilts! Even Minnie Mouse was on a float!

This is where Daddy's camera batteries went dead. The last thing we saw before we left was the Lion King show. It was amazing! There was dancing, singing and acrobatics. There were people twirling batons--On fire! It was definitely a great way to end our visit!

Disney for Easter!(day 1-- Magic Kingdom)

WOW! Daddy took us all to Disney World for Easter. Even Bubby got to go with us. Here we are all ready to go in the dresses Nana sent us for Easter!

Watch out Disney! Here we come!

The first thing we saw was Cinderella's Coronation. She was being crowned a princess and all the other Disney Princesses came to dance and join in the celebration. It was so fun! Even Hazel like watching the dancing.
After that, we went on the It's a Small World ride. There were so many interesting things to see there! Then we got to ride on a Flying Dumbo! Morgan and Madison loved making them fly up and down! We were going too fast for Daddy to get a good picture of us, but you might be able to see us in there somewhere.

We got a little tired with all that walking!

Then it was on to Winnie the Pooh's house! There was a part with water squirting up in the air, that is where Madison spent her time. Morgan explored the house, and looked for a snack in the honeypot.

Madison got her face painted like Tinkerbell and Morgan got Cinderella! Then we took a ride on the train to get to the front of the park.

We met Timon and Rafiki from the Lion King!!

And went up into a BIG tree house.

We went on The Pirates Of the Caribbean, then we went back over to Tomorrowland to go on a Buzz Lightyear ride where we got to shoot at things! Don't worry! We defeated the bad guy and tossed him in jail.
After that, Mommy and Daddy took Morgan to Stitch's Great Escape! It was so fun, but Madi was too small to go.
On the way out, we got to see the parade! It was kind of hard to see because there were so may people trying to watch it. We did get a nice view of the Castle. It kept changing pretty colors.
Then we headed back to our room for a good night sleep so we could have more fun the next day!

More Beach(with Uncle Nick!)

Look who came to visit! Can you tell? It's Uncle Nick!

Here is Uncle Nick, Pappy and Daddy.

And Daddy with Mommy!

Hazel had lots of fun splashing in the waves with her big sisters. (can you see Morgan's tattoo? He got one for Madison too.)

To the water! You couldn't drag these girls out!

Or this one! That is Hazel and Mommy. Hazel is in a little baby floatie and she was giggling and splashing.

She also likes to crawl along in the water!

Tie Dyeing Bathing Suits

We got some nice white bathing suits and a Tie Dye kit from Dharma Trading and got to work!

Morgan and Madison both got to design their own suits!

It was messy work, but lots of fun!

Morgan ended up with pink streaks on her face.

Here is how they look after they are all washed and ready to wear!

This is the back of them.

And here they are on the beach, with the happy models!

Poor Hazel

Hazel has an ear infection and has been fighting a tough fever. She had a febrile seizure last night and went to the ER in an ambulance. She is fine and home now, but her fever keeps going up and down. The motrin is working much better than the tylenol but when it starts to wear off, the fever creeps back up. She is happier today, playing and drinking plenty of fluids. She is sleeping peacefully right now!

The Reading Festival

On Saturday we went to the Reading Festival
It was downtown at Centennial Park right on the Caloosahatchee river.

We had such a good time. There were crafts to do and story time. Every child got a book, too!
Even the Cat in the Hat was there reading some of his favorite stories.

Our Trip to the Slough

Yesterday we went to Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve

It was such a nice day. We walked and walked the whole way around it!

It was so beautiful all around! We saw pretty flowers and interesting plants.

Sometimes you can see an alligator sunning itself out on this raft. There wasn't one there today though.

But we did see lots of birds!

And fish

And turtles

And even a bunch of wild pigs!

And then there where the clues along the trail...

First you see some animal tracks...

Then you get a clue to help you out...

Then you make your guess and open it up...

It was such a gorgeous day! You could hear so many birds singing and the sun was shining.
It wasn't too hot out either!
