Happy Halloween!

Dennis did not want to cooperate with pictures.
You can see the girls' costumes better in this one. Mom went to chase Dennis.

Here is the little Vampire! He must have been off hunting...

Update to Dennis' Haircut

I see I haven't posted here in a long long time. Well, see. I thought D's haircut was a bit crooked and tried to fix it. Then I tried to fix the cut I gave him. Then I tried to even that out too. And, well, this is what we ended up with....
Of course, he is still adorable. And it has grown in a bit since then.

Look for a picture post later!

First Haircuts!

Hazel and Dennis just had their first haircuts! Yes, Hazel is almost 3. But she has never had a haircut yet. And, well it was time.

Here is Dennis before his cut.

And here he is after. He would not sit still!

Hazel before:
(3 years worth of hair)

And after! What a big girl!

Piggy Banks

This was a very fun and messy project!!

First, we got to blow up some balloons and mom taped legs, noses and ears on them. She used egg cartons for the nose and ears and for the legs on 2 of the piggies. On the other 2 piggies, we used toilet paper rolls, cut in half.

Then mommy made the gooey stuff. This is how she made it:

Mix 1 cup of flour into 1 cup of water until the mixture is thin and runny. Stir into 4 cups of boiling water. Simmer for about 3 minutes, then cool.

It did NOT turn out the way it was supposed to. It was very lumpy, but it did work! We all covered our piggies with strips of newspaper dipped in the goo. (mommy helped a bit)

Then we let them dry all night. Mom put on more gooey newspaper in the morning, then we got to paint them that evening!!

Everyone painted their pig their favorite color!
Madison's is a cute lil pink piggie.

Morgan painted hers orange and Hazel chose green. (she is obsessed with green right now)

After the paint dried, mom used a knife to cut a slot in the top for money to go in. It also popped the balloon and she pulled the pieces out. Some of the piggies weren't dry the whole way and started to collapse, but mom popped them back into shape!

Here are the artist's showing off their work.

And the finished piggies!

Visit to Johnstown

YAY! Just a little bit, but the kids got to play in some snow. They were very excited about it.

They learned valuable skills, like gambling and pool playing.

We all went to a big party! It was for Uncle Nick, Pappy and Aunt Lin. We got to see lots of people!

Here is Uncle Nick with Madison. He was only home for a short visit. Then he had to go back to Iraq. We all miss him very much!

Hazel was the life of the party! Just about everyone there carried her around for a bit. I think this is the only time her feet were on the floor.

The kids hunted for Easter eggs at Aunt Karen's house.
There is Ally, Dennis, Hazel, Madison, and Morgan.

Morgan, Ally, and Kiera were all born in the same week! Morgan was the biggest way back then. Look how much they have all grown!

Dennis's First Birthday

A little late, I know. But it's busy with four kids!

Poor Dennis had bronchitis right around his 1st birthday and was pretty unhappy. He didn't even eat his cake!

Here he is in his new outfit, very fitting since we spent the night before in the ER.

Dennis had his party at Nana's house. We were very lucky because Uncle Alex and Lexxie were visiting!

We are not sure why Elmo had to die. But Dennis was sure convinced. As soon as Elmo would pop back up, Dennis would run him over again.

Dennis love Lightning McQueen and all things Cars. It is his favorite movie and got us through many sleepness night when Dennis was teething.
